Our Science Curriculum

Next Generation Science Standards
From Next Generation: "Within the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), there are three distinct and equally important dimensions to learning science. These dimensions are combined to form each standard—or performance expectation—and each dimension works with the other two to help students build a cohesive understanding of science over time"
  • Students explore connections across the four domains of Science
  • Students develop a scientific and cohesive view of their world

Hands-on -- leads students in the doing of science and engineering.
NGSS-aligned and Common Core -- make the transition to the Next Generation Science Standards and support Common Core.
Less prep, more learning -- prep in minutes not hours. Captivate your students with short videos and discussion questions.
Here's a message from the creator of Mystery Science:
Hi! My name is Doug,
I taught elementary science for seven years and made it my students’ favorite subject. I created Mystery Science to share my approach with you.
Every lesson begins with a Mystery that hooks your students. I then narrate an unforgettable story told with stunning images and videos and punctuated with opportunities for discussion. Every lesson concludes with simple hands-on activities designed to use supplies you already have (or are easy to get).
I hope my work saves you time & inspires your students. Please read about our mission on our website.
