It's almost Valentine's day and the long weekend for President's day. Today, I had grades K, 1 & 2.
Kindergarten is working on Keyboarding Without Tears. Most students are just getting the hang of typing with two hands on the keyboard. They need some extra attention learning this brand new skill, but they seem to be getting the hang of it. After keyboarding, we worked on some mouse-ercise. Using Minimouse, the students got to choose any game and practice all kinds of mouse games that work on hand-eye coordination. Finally, the students all wanted a little break and got to log on to PBSKids for some self directed fun.
1st grade also worked on KWT. It is great to see some students moving forward and getting better at typing. The students who practice at home have the greatest level of progress and most improved typing skills. You can log into KWT any time at home to get the most of this typing program. They also finished class with some mousercise on Minimouse.
2nd grade had a shortened class today and only got to work on KWT. Keep up the good work using the home keys while typing both in school and at home!
