Today was the computer class for the year. I had grades K, 1, and 2. We worked on a few different projects.
In K & 1, we worked on Keyboarding without Tears for the first half of class. After this, I let Kindergarten pick their own game on ABCYa!. 1st grade typed in the link to Mini Mouse.
2nd Grade used Pixler and worked on editing a photo of a mako shark. They followed the instructions from May 8th as seen here: Photo Editing Instructions.
Great job this year to all of my classes! I'm happy to see everyone working on typing and learning more about the design and function of the computer each day!
Last week I had grades 3, 4, & 5 start working on their photo editing skills.
We used some free web based software called Pixlr to edit a photo of a shark. I let students get creative and edit it however they wished. Some students gave the shark evil eyes, and others drew themselves into the photos.
Great job to all of my classes for their initiative and interest in this awesome skill!
Below are my Shark photo edits, can you spot the difference?
May Day is tomorrow and I hope to see everyone there for this fun celebration! Have a great weekend!
