During this year's summer session, our students got the chance to learn some new tricks in the kitchen. Our teachers helped students create some wonderful snacks like pizza on english muffins and home made crepes!
Congratulations to the students at Honaunau School who participated in this year's Speech Festival! We are so proud of our keiki who worked so hard to be a part of this wonderful event!

Our school has been visited by PATH, the People's Advocacy for Trails Hawaii, to bring some safety tips to our students as they walk to and from school, their homes, and around our island.
Our Principal, Noreen Kunitomo met with representatives of the county, PATH, and Maile David, to inspect the front of our school for improving safety as
well as crosswalks and signage. Thank you to those in the community who spread the word in support of our efforts as well as those who signed our petition, "For The Love of Ulu", to help improve our area!
Honaunau School Students have been asking the community to make our school zone safer for students. Our 5th Grade class has been busy responding to the recent loss of one of our students by waving signs, sending letters, and petitioning the County and State officials to reassess our site for students crossing the road to walk to school. We are so proud of our students for standing up for their rights to a safe school zone and safe path to cross the highway.
